[@bpatrickflynn] This was the very first kitchen I designed for HGTV in 2010. The idea was to feature a fresh backsplash alternative, one that didn't involve laborious tile prep and messy, dusty installation. What is it? Bus wrap vinyl! It's commercial grade vinyl used to make signs or cover vehicles, and it's super durable, you can print almost anything on it, and it goes up just like wallpaper. No need for mortar, grout or wet saws. I liked the idea of being personal and chose a vintage photo of my grandparents in the 1950s.
