‘Elephant orphan Ukame enjoys a good scratch behind the ear! Rescued in October 2015 by @DSWT, this little female elephant was found desperately seeking shade as the long drought persisted. Thankfully the team were soon on hand to provide life-saving medication before transporting Ukame to their Nairobi Elephant Orphanage. ‘Ukame’ means drought in Swahili and you can find out more about this little calf by fostering her at: thedswt.org/ukame #ElephantTales’
