A little over a week ago we did a soft launch of the newly redesigned Design*Sponge, designed by our go-to team, ALSO. This was the most flexible launch we've ever done and last week we continued to make changes based on reader feedback and debugging. Now things are pretty settled and I'm really happy that we were able to add bigger brighter images, increase text sizes, do away with slideshows and create better landing pages for each content category for people who want to say, just look at houses for a few hours. We also created a dated archive so you can browse only the newest content, by day, any time you want. Over 13 years of blogging I've learned it's impossible to please everyone with a redesign, but I'm really happy that we now have a place where words and images are easier to absorb and where essays and thought pieces can get as much love as interiors.
