Good luck to all those running the @bostonmarathon tomorrow morning!This is me mustering a smile at the end of last year's race with my friend @scottjurek who paced me by my side. He ran his slowest race ever that day. Scott will be running again this year, aa is his wife @rainorshinedesign, who was pregnant and cheering us on last year. Marathons are a lot like childbirth. You think you will never do it again until those endorphins kick in and you forget all about the pain and hard work. Boston was one of my toughest races yet but then I ran my second fastest race in Chicago last fall at age 47. I just started training for Berlin this weekend and am feeling just a little FOMO tonight. No more children for me, just marathons, to keep all those emotions fresh and close for the work we do every day at @everymomcounts I will be thinking of all the first timers and regulars tomorrow. Enjoy every mile, every blister and all the glory. #everymileeverymother
