There is an organization that is called the American Association of Feline Practitioners​ AAFP and they are supposedly all about being the best veterinary practices for cats. Many of them, like this one that posted this photo on facebook last summer, are awarded the "Cat Friendly" status which means that supposedly if you take your cat there, you will get the best care for their health and well being.
Guess what procedure most of those practices do.
Yep. They amputate cat's toe bones and claws for the welfare of furniture. (declaw)
I think they should rename those practices to "Furniture Friendly" instead of Cat Friendly so r you think?
I also think this is false advertising don't you? ??
How can a vet practice be friendly to cats when they do this inhumane, unnecessary, and mutilating procedure to a cat???
