THANK GOD!! This is a major step in the right direction and the world just became a better place!!! It looks like this trend will continue across Asia. Indeed, this is a small step, but it's a sign of things to come. This article totally made my day!!!

I apolgize for not making this point in the initial posting.Unfortunately, by not clarifying the details, I inadvertently left this post open to debate on veganism, which totally misses the point.
So Let me make this perfectly clear. These animals suffer horrendously on their way to their deaths. Keep in mind, it is a traditional belief that the more the animal suffers in it's final moments, that the better they will taste. This is based on the ignorant assumption that the adrenaline released from the torture improves the flavor of the meat.THIS is why this "festival" is an abomination. The consumption of animals for meat isn't even the issue here as far as Im concerned.
