??today I had the honour of attending EDC Capitol Hill advocacy day to fight for increased funding for EDs and to push forward implication of the 21st Century Cures Act.
The passing of this act in December was the FIRST TIME IN HISTORY? that congress passed legislation specifically to improve the lives of those affected by Eating Disorders.
Thank you so much to everyone at @NEDA for all the work you do and to all the advocates who took time out to spend the day sharing their stories with Congress & Senate members.
Hearing the four members of my team who all lost their daughters to this mental illness shows how much we need more funding for early detection, more research and increased resources.
