Q: On average, how many "types" of cards would a bride order for their wedding. By types I mean "save the dates", the actual invitations themselves and so on. Are there only those 2 types of cards or are there more?
A. Great question. I separate them into two categories. There are the invitation "essentials" and then there are the "nice to haves". Typically, the essentials include save the date, invitation card, mailer envelope and response set. And the nice to haves encompass special details specific to your event needs, such as accommodations card, direction card, reception card, website or registry card, schedule of events card, map card, brunch card or rehearsal dinner card to name a few. You essentially pick and chose which enclosures best suit your wedding guests needs and include those that you think matter most to help your guests. And of course you can always enhance with design elements to help with the presentation and experience, like real flowers (as you see here) or laser-cut belly bands, folios or pretty packaging. The options are limitless! Hope that helps.
