After making friends with the island's gorgeous quokkas, @blaeten was apparently "heartbroken" to leave @rottnestislandwa - we don't blame her! These friendly marsupials are rather inquisitive, so don't be surprised if they hop right up to you. Although there are a couple of small populations of #quokkas scattered across the south-west of mainland @westernaustralia, #RottnestIsland is the best place to see them up close. #rottnest #westernaustralia #thisiswa #quokka #wildlife
