This is a MILD example of what animal testing for beauty products looks like. Animal testing for cosmetics includes:
•eye irritation tests where chemicals are rubbed into shaved skin or dripped into eyes •repeated oral force-feeding for weeks/months •"lethal dose" tests where animals are forced to swallow massive amounts of chemicals to determine the dose that causes death
All without providing any sort of pain relief.
The poor animals that do survive this unnecessary torture are killed by either asphyxiation, neck-breaking or decapitation. Every purchase we make is a vote. When we buy products from a company that tests on animals, we are voting for cruelty - and no lipstick or eyeshadow is worth this.
