Great to finally meet author, filmmaker and artist Lito Tejada -Flores last week in Chile. He was one of the original high angle filmers on El Capitan in the mid sixties, climbing and filming on the classic climbing cult film "El Capitan." He was also one of Doug Tompkins' early climbing partners. In 1968, using an old Bolex camera, Lito filmed the infamous Fun Hogs trip w Yvon Chouinard, Doug Tompkins and Dick Dorworth when they road tripped, climbed, skied and surfed from Ventura California to Patagonia, eventually making the first ascent of the California route on Fitzroy w the crew, sharing the lifestyle of the adventure dirtbag climber to a generation (and many to come) in the film Mountain of Storms.
