Happy 83rd Birthday to the incomparable @GloriaSteinem !! She is still traveling the world and moving women and our entire culture forward. I want to be her when I grow up. On the day this pic was taken I asked her privately "How do you keep going? How do you keep your hope alive and not succumb to cynicism and frustration at the world?" And she replied "I talk to the people. I get out in the world and stay in face to face contact with the people on the ground who are fighting for their lives and changing their world. They give me hope and energy to keep going". I'm so grateful for role models. Thank you Gloria Steinem for the life you're living.
