The Prince of Wales has presented Honours to those who have been recognised for outstanding achievement at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Actress Patricia Routledge, best known for her role as Hyacinth Bucket in the BBC sitcom 'Keeping up Appearances', was made a Dame.

A number of Olympic and Paralympic athletes were also honoured today. Hockey player Sam Quek, para-cyclists Helen Scott, Jon-Allan Butterworth and Louis Rolfe, para-rowers Grace Clough, Rachel Morris and Laurence Whiteley and canoeists Joe Clark, Anne Usher, Emma Wiggs and Jeannette Chippington all received MBEs. Triple Olympic gold medallist cyclist Ed Clancy was awarded with an OBE.

Vanita Patel is a volunteer Trustee of Anti-Slavery International and has raised over £1million for the charity. Today she received an MBE.

BAFTA and Oscar winning costume designer Jenny Beavan was also presented with an OBE for her achievements. ?PA
