We all have our vices but peeling off gel polish shouldn't be one! We know it's tempting, believe us, we've been there too, but it's actually one of the most damaging things you can do to your nails. Here's the scoop: your nails are composed of cells called keratinocytes and under a microscope these cells look like shingles on a roof. ✨
When you peel your polish you are removing the gel as well as the top layer of your nail. This results in white patches, grooves and severally weakened nails. Next time you're feeling temped to peel your gel polish remember you're peeling your delicate nail off with it too.
