Last week in the Peak District was more like a teaser and prep for this Fall, but I couldn' t resist climbing the ultraclassic 'Master's Edge' E7 6c. Apperently Gritstone's first E7, done by Fawcett in 1983, the route today still is a nice challenge. Güllich broke his back on a fall, pulling the only gear on the route from the bolt holes midway. It feels weird shoving a large nut upside down in a hole, but it seems to hold most of the times...
I could go on forever about Gritstone routes and its unique style of climbing and protection, but I'll leave something for Fall!
