One of our zookeepers decided to literally hang out inside a hanging truck tire in the liger cub play area and took this video??
Nahba our snow tigress was raised alongside Abu and Simba our two male standard lions. Yet reaching sexual maturity they started to try to breed Nahba which we believed wouldn't be effective since they weren't of age, still we moved her with the rest of our tigers and two and a half months later on November 1st these beautiful ligers were born. Though it happened against all odds, and controversial, here they are in perfect health and we would never had considered and were even offended by what some "animal protectors" recommended, which was euthanasia because they are hybrids! They are living beings with every right to live the best life possible. Contrary to many's opinion and based on much experience and intelligent resources, they live a very long life and do not have genetic issues. They will however be chemically sterilized to prevent breeding?
