Have you heard the great news today?
I am proud to say that my mom worked with Sandra Atlas Bass, the huge hearted philanthropist who loves animals, especially cats, and got a new endorsement for the NYS bill to ban declawing! ???❤
@animalleague has now officially signed on as a fervent supporter! Thank you North Shore! They are the largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization in the world!!!! ??
Ironically I just got this in the mail today from the @aspca. We are also trying to get the ASPCA to join us and support this anti-declawing bills too. ??
We have ALL the other shelters and rescues in NY on board and they are supporting this important cat protection bill.
Will you PLEASE reach out to ASPCA today and remind them that declawing does NOT keep a cat in a home. There are humane alternatives to declawing and it doesn't have to be "declaw or death." Remind them that in the 8 cities in California where declawing was banned, in the 5 years after the ban, the amount of cats in shelters actually went DOWN!
