Guess who jumped at the chance to be women's rights activist/abolitionist Lucretia Mott? This MAMA! So honored to be a part of this exciting video/photo project with @babble! I chose Lucretia Mott for three reasons: 1) she was an abolitionist who continued to tirelessly fight for the rights of freed slaves after the Civil War 2) she teamed up with Elizabeth Cady Stanton and founded the first women’s rights convention at Seneca Falls. She spoke across the nation about women’s rights to equal pay, to education, for the vote, for owning land, and she also founded Swarthmore College. 3) She somehow managed to do all of that while raising five children and managing her home, which by the way was also a station for the underground railroad. #womenshistory #rolemodel #internationalwomensday #motherhood
