Suze grew up like the Lidè girls pictured here and whom she now teaches, getting water, washing the clothes, cooking the food, and only sometimes going to school. She is 19 and in the 9th grade and dreams of seeing what the world is like beyond Okoto Haiti. She says that she does not ask why: "Why did my mother give me away when I was 10 so that I could clean and cook for my older sister...Why do I have to work so hard?" INstead, she does the work and goes to school and brings all of her heart and love to girls that she hopes will live a better life. Happy International Women's Day dear Suze. You are indeed making life better for young women...and for you.⠀
