Round, Square or Tapered??
The most common response I get is, "I don't care, I don't see back there anyway."
But knowing the difference can be beneficial in maintaining a natural looking hairline or even better..making your haircut last longer!

Round- (Top Left) For those who prefer a full hairline without the sharp edges. The corners are cut off and the hairline is rounded. This option works best for those with long, skinny necks. ・・・
Square/Blocked- (Top Right) For those with skinny necks. The hairline is straight across the neck, following the natural hairline (not to be brought up too high). The downside of the round and square necklines is that the trimmed areas grow out noticeably quicker. ・・・
Tapered- (Bottom) Instead of creating a definitive hairline, the tapered affect is essentially a small fade in the neckline. It's shortest at the bottom near the neckline and gets slightly longer as it transitions its way into the haircut. A huge benefit to this preference is that the grow out is less noticeable as there are no hard lines created. Can help thick necks appear thinner. ・
