These pedestrian traffic lights in #Melbourne, #Australia got a little makeover. The new “female” lights – there will be 10 sets total – are meant to reduce “unconscious bias,” says Equal Crossings, the initiative behind them. The change comes just before International Women's Day on March 8. But not all Australians are happy with it: Some say it’s a waste of money, while others argue there’s no reason to assume the original figure is necessarily male.
