Last night, TIME, a new docuseries that chronicles the life and legacy of #kaliefbrowder aired on @spiketv and @bet. Kalief spent 3 years on Rikers Island, 2 of which were spent in solitary confinement, after being accused of stealing a backpack. He was never convicted. His story is tragic but unfortunately not unique. For this reason, the gorgeous humans, like @yo_landuh + @rodgie_boy who worked on the show, have created a page of calls to action where you can sign petitions and learn more about the threats systemic racism and mass incarceration still pose today.
