THE DRUM THING
A new super awesome book by photographer @deirdreocallaghan

The book turns the lens on drummers and features a huge portrait of the drumming community ranging from mega legends to local heroes, pop stars to cutting edge experimentalists. This community is diverse and Deirdre does a brilliant job at expressing it while giving a snapshot into the unique personal style of each drummer. The photographs are exceptionally sharp, too.
Many YYYs homies are featured here including #RussellSimins, Janet Weiss (@theejazzzhand) #JamesSclavunos, @kid_millions, @ryan_lonewolf, @softcircle, #chadsmith, #jontheodore, plus many of my friends and colleagues.
I'm especially honored to be included in the pages with my drum mentor, #SusieIbarra. Her words in the book are inspiring.
This is a very cool book, great for non-drummers and drummers alike as it gives a peak into a wide range of individual creative lifestyles. Again, the photos...
