I already knew that the NIST Sketchnote Symposium was going to be awesome, but what I did not know is how it would grow and impact my heart in the ways that it did, as well as help me overcome fears (and have fun while doing so) and remind me that there are more kindred spirits among us than the opposite. What a priceless gift and experience. There are no thanks sufficient enough to extend to our most extraordinary host and pro-sketchnoter @rob_dimeo for making this happen for us, and to the Sketchnote founder and Jedi master himself @rohdesign for fostering such an encouraging, nurturing and positive community. One thing among many that struck me was how incredibly valued I felt as a person and for what I could bring to the table. You all have no idea how profound that was for me. I learned so much helpful and wonderful visual and sketchnoting information and tips, but more than anything I so loved being in the presence of these wonderful kind-hearted souls. Special shout outs to @profclayton, @mariannerady, @pastorgarylau, @kforkish, and @ktb_visual! Thank you for the wonderful mementos and beautiful gifts but mostly for the memories and glimmering imprints left in my heart. You all are such treasures. #grouphug ☺? •
