Let's get real folks being a householder -taking care of the things that we all take care of - whether we have kids or not -- in this modern world asks so much of us. I love the slow movement I really do but my life is really full and I'm right in the middle of so very much . I chose to not do things that I don't want to do ( phew) but still there is a lot to be part of as a householder ::
There are meals to make there are worries to overcome there are bodies mine and others that need tending to - there are bills to pay and hearts to connect with ::there are growing pains that need balm and the occasional advil :: there are moments of literal expansion of mind body and soul while driving from point A to point B:: this is the exciting part we don't have to go live on a mountain top to live aligned with our soul :: we don't have to have it all figured out to live enlightened ::: we can live the life of the householder and within all that we do and all that we are lies the gold:: it's not always pretty but is it ever rich :: as I was driving in serious LA traffic last week the kind of traffic I used to do anything to avoid my heart literally burst open in between the conversations I had with my children in the dark on the 405:: we laughed they moved me so deeply I felt so much love ::i can't even remember today what we talked about but it's in these moments that I understand and bow to the power of living life awake raw and open:: #householder #annapurnalivinginnercircle
