I'll never forget working with Al Jarreau on Body Heat...I had him doing vocal percussion because that was before anyone really knew he could sing! Then I had him paired up with Minnie Ripperton and Leon Ware on "If I Ever Lose This Heaven." He was such a talented cat and we worked together from that moment, all the way up until last year at the @montreuxjazzfestival. God bless him...He'll always be with us through the music he left behind.
