My last ABS Youth Nationals has left me both humbled and inspired. Over fifty incredibly strong young women competed this weekend in the Juniors category, many of whom I have climbed alongside for nearly half of my life. They exemplify good sportsmanship, tenacity, compassion, dedication, and intelligence. When The North Face Rookie Team (all women by the way) was announced, I got chills. Big respect to each and every one of them for making a difference in their communities and beyond. What an impressive line of powerful women. They will change our world! Thank you USA Climbing and The North Face for these great opportunities to challenge ourselves. Thank you as always to our parents, coaches, setters, teammates, sponsors, and volunteers who have supported us along the way. Round of applause to Louder Than 11 for enabling our friends and families to follow along and for documenting our growth. I will miss being a part of the youth competitions, but I am ready to fly with the adults.
