I'm sorry to post this shocking photo but many vets are promoting their lasers as less pain/pain free, quicker healing, and better for declaws. It's all a lie. They spend $35,000 for a laser machine and have to do a lot of declaws to pay back the bill. Laser declawing is just as inhumane, mutilating, and painful as the guillotine clipper or scalpel.
Around 2 mil cats a year are declawed in America. It must end!
The photo shows cat toe bones and claws that were laser declawed. The photo was posted on Instagram by a vet professional. (Not from Purdue University Small Animal Hospital)
@pucvm Purdue Small animal hospital says that they do "pain free declaws" with they CO2 laser on the bio of the vet who does the laser declaws. The employees also say that their laser declaws are "very non-invasive."
Isn't this false advertising because how can burning off a cat's toe bones and claws with a super heated laser beam, ever be pain free???
The @UK's Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons calls declawing "mutilation" and it is illegal to declaw a cat in the UK.
