"In the days following the inauguration, we have seen some real setbacks to climate progress. The climate change page disappeared from the White House website. The Environmental Protection Agency, and National Parks Service and several other federal agencies are being subjected to a communications freeze. Executive orders paving the way for the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Keystone XL pipelines were signed. I have felt despair and anger and frustration.

But I have also felt hope. I felt it talking to a group of Fordham University students as they plan an event for the #PutAPriceOnIt campaign. I felt it as I reported on a rally in support of Standing Rock, when despite the freezing rain and a call to action that went out just a few hours before, over a hundred supporters gathered. I feel it every time someone reaches out to ask, “How can I help?” To answer that question, Years of Living Dangerously is doing two big things. First, we’ve made our entire first season available to everyone for free on YouTube. Second, starting Monday, we’re launching Daily Actions, which will give you something that can do to help solve climate change every single day. Look for it at YearsOfLivingDangerously.com/act. Even if the solutions seem farther away, we can’t stop pushing towards them. We have to hang on to our hope."
