I can't think about flowers or houses or pink right now. And that's good. Too many terrifying things are happening right now to seek distraction. The world feels like a churning sea of upset and all I can focus on is finding ways to keep connecting our community here, that cares about the idea of HOME so deeply, with the people who so desperately need help getting back to their homes here. Thank you to the lawyers and legal professionals who have been up all night helping people. I'm working on ways to better communicate here and help connect those who CAN help with those who need it most. Until then, I will keep fighting in all the ways I know (and keep working to learn new ways) to defend, protect and support those in need. @turshen detailed some practical ways to be an ally to immigrants and refugees on her feed and I'm working on more practical info to share here in the next day or two.
