Happy birthday to my bro @zedsdead_dc, seen here wearing what I've just come to learn is called a booney hat. Your gaze in this photo looks as if you are an explorer looking ahead on the horizon to the new frontier. I like to think of it as you are looking ahead to this new year of life with wonderment and excitement but you knew you'd of course be needing your lucky booney hat if you're to tackle the metaphorical gators and possums life throws at you. Don't even worry, I'll be there too to help ward off the gators for as long as I can with some sort of found branch because hey that's what friends are for. Anyway eventually the gators may snap this branch and we're all doomed and I don't know if that booney hat's going to save anything, I think you're belief in a lucky hat may be ill informed- this metaphors is falling apart.
