Lotus and I have a very special bond together: He is my first adult Lion that I ever rescued. For you to know how much I Love Lions, they have always been my favorite Animal in the whole Universe. I lived in South Africa for one year and I Love them so much that I refused to go to a park to see them because I didn't feel like intruding in their lives. When Lotus arrived, I thought that he was the ugliest Lion that I had ever seen (And he was at the moment), but I Loved him incredibly. 4 or 5 days later he collapsed all of a sudden on his side for around 24 hours and I just sat there looking at him. He was perfect and all of a sudden, he went down. I prayed to Planet Earth to help us and suddenly he vomited a piece of a billboard in the shape of a small football. I called the circus guy that I hired to transport him from the circus and asked him if he recognized that plastic because it didn't belong to the ranch. He said yes, that he had used that billboard to cover Lotus's mobile prison on his way to us but that I shouldn't worry, if the Lion died he'd get me another one from the circus. Imagine the insults that my mouth expelled. Lotus felt better by himself (We didn't do anything except pray for a miracle), he stood up and the rest is history. He became the most gorgeous Lion on the Universe. This is part of the story of Lotus. I am eternally grateful to Existence for giving him a pass and returning my boy from the claws of death. Stupid people ask me how I remember the names of all my kids, 2 answers: 1.- I'm not an idiot like them and the second, there's a story to each and everyone of my kids. When in doubt, Think Blue...
