STROBE lights and FISH HEADS are the 2 components to most of my shark work. Is it "glamorous" work? NO, not at all. Is it "fulfilling" work? YES it sure is. Next to any of my refugee or displaced people work with the United Nations, it is some of the most rewarding photography work I've done in my 30 years of shooting. Like learning to change my perception about sharks, I had to do the same with where I turned my lens. The commercial work I create I still LOVE to do, but I had to step out of that and make some serious sacrifices to do this work. That was really scary at times. Why am I writing all this, not for YOU but for mySELF to read and remind myself there is something out there bigger then me or my goals that I can put effort into. Walk through the fear and do it. It's in the doing, not the thinking about that progress gets made. #MeditationMonday
