"I don’t want to reduce the serious issues we have just to add to a slogan. The reality is we’ve got a very organized effort not supported by the majority of Americans [who] really undermine so much of the ground we’ve gained over the last years and decades. Whether it’s assault on a woman’s right to make her own medical decisions and not have her government officials do it, whether it’s a tax on preventative care like the attacks on Planned Parenthood—or even just the attacks on the Affordable Care Act [all of which are] driving us back to the days where insurance companies could deny people health insurance for pre-existing conditions (and being a woman was seen as a pre-existing condition). So this is a systematic attack on so many of the things that should be fundamental rights here in America...a land for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We’re gonna have to fight back in every way. This is not gonna be resolved in just a day. This [should] not be a day of protest.
