Thank you to the coolest, most charismatic president I've known. Thank you for protecting our public lands, encouraging clean energy research, realizing climate change is REAL, promoting and passing marriage equality, and making it possible for little ole me to have health insurance. Thank you for crying with us during our tragedies, and spontaneously singing Amazing Grace during a national speech. Thank you for having a sense of humor, and rolling with the punches these last 8 years. Thank you for being a baller 3-point shooter, and a real, down-to-earth, classy human being. Unfollow if you feel inclined, but as a millennial in the outdoor industry who lives out west, you had to know I was liberal... I have SO many reasons why I'm marching today. It's personal. It's because I believe all men and women are created equal. It's because the climate change, civil rights, and LGBT pages have already been removed from the White House website. It's because censorship has already begun, as the National Park Service has been banned from tweeting. It's because of the disgusting mocking of a disabled reporter on national television. It's because I don't believe sexually assaulting women is OK. It's because many people in my life have been sexually assaulted. It's because my father says victims of rape are "being theatrical." This isn't about winning or losing. Nobody is "whining because our side lost." Losing we could take. This is about right and wrong. And I march because I believe things are wrong. #whyimarch.
