Hi everyone! This week's #AskCeci is from @melissaannfuller in Colorado.
Q: What is your typical day like?
A: To be honest, I don't really have a consistent, typical day which I what I love about my job. As a creative person I thrive in the change, the energy and new challenges each day brings. Sometimes, I'm traveling and giving talks or workshops or at a photo shoot. Most days I'm in new business meetings or I'm designing and working with my team and our clients. I try to organize my schedule to paint and draw on Mondays and Fridays so it breaks up my week and I find that time more productive when I organize it that way. I'm a multi-tasker so even if I'm in a taxi or blow drying my hair I'm checking email and/or updating Instagram. I love to be productive and I try to make the most of my time. Especially now that I'm a mom, I find myself trying to be more disciplined as I don't have a lot of extra time in my day like I used to before kids. The juggle is real, but feel it's important to get a head start on your day so I try to wake up early. Admittedly, I push snooze a couple times until my "baby" alarm clock goes off anyway anytime between 5-6:30am. I have a full day at the office and typically leave between 5:30-6:30pm depending on the deadlines. Then I make it home just in time to sing my kids to sleep and pour myself a glass of wine and unwind with my hubby over dinner. I'll finish whatever work I didn't do then cap the night off with Netflix to relax my mind. Not every day is perfect, or really the same, but I've learned to make the most of what I've got.
