My Pan Seared Artichoke with a buffalo compound butter

INGREDIENTS:
▪️2-4 - Artichokes
▪️1 - Lemon
▪️1/8 cup - canola oil, or any oil with a high smoke point
▪️As needed - #flavorgod pink Salt&Pepper
▪️As needed - #flavorgod buffalo seasoning

Directions:
▪️Clean/Rinse artichokes under cold water
Pat dry with towel or paper towel.
▪️With scissors, remove the thorn tips from the leaves.
▪️Next with a chef's knife or serrated knife, cut about 1 1/2 inch off of the top of the artichoke.
( With each cut of scissors or knife rub the area with a lemon. So they do not oxidize and turn brown.)
▪️Cut about 1/2 inch off stem.
(Be sure to rub a lemon onto the exposed end of the stem.)
▪️Next cut the artichoke in half.
▪️Remove the furry, inedible choke with a spoon.
(Don't forget, use a lemon on all cuts)
▪️Boil a large pot of water with a steaming basket inside. (Water level shouldn't touch artichokes, about 3/4 fill pot)
▪️When water boils, place as many artichoke halves into basket in a single layer, exposed side down.
▪️Steam artichokes for around 35-40 minutes, or until they are nice and tender (but not overly soft or falling apart)
( Test donees with a knife, knife should be easily inserted into the stem) Once done, remove from pan.
▪️Preheat pan.
Next brush inside of artichoke with oil.
▪️Sprinkle with #flavorgod pink salt and pepper.
Place artichokes, exposed side down on pan over medium heat. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until you have nice seat marks.

For the compound butter, simply add buffalo seasoning and butter in a bowl and mix till a paste forms.
Melt and use as needed as a dipping sauce
