Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager welcomed Malia and Sasha Obama to the grounds of the White House eight years ago. “The four of us wandered the majestic halls of the house you had no choice but to move in to,” they wrote in a letter to the Obama daughters.

“When you slid down the banister of the solarium, just as we had done as 8-year-olds and again as 20-year-olds chasing our youth, your joy and laughter were contagious.”

"It's just amazing how fast eight years go by and how they've become these really unbelievable women and we just wanted to make sure they knew," Hager said on the @TODAYshow.
