Next up in our selection of the best women in menswear, @maisieskidmore has chosen #JoanofArc. "Did anybody do menswear better than Joan of Arc? Her choice of armour was driven by necessity rather than aesthetics (heavy skirts won’t do when you’re on the battlefield fighting the English) and, since her martyrdom, her image has been recreated ad infinitum. In the absence of a photograph, Jean Seberg did an excellent job of characterising her in her 1957 film Saint Joan – the film which was also responsible for the actress’ iconic crop."
