In caves that are 30 million years old and 150 feet underground, an unforgettable sight glows in the dark. The Waitomo Caves in New Zealand are home to around 30,000 endemic glowworms. The worms spend their days spinning silk nests from the ceilings and lowering threads to lure their prey, much like a spider. The luminescent beadlike strings are spellbinding. (? by @greatbigstory)
