If while I am walking, I come across a building, it is normal for me to wonder about who has built it. To those who reply by saying that nobody has created it, I would object that nothing gets built by itself, nothing comes from nothing. May be I will not find the author, because there are buildings old to such an extent that even the name of the author has gone lost, over the years. But, somebody, for sure, must have built it.

IT: Se, camminando, m’imbatto in una costruzione, sorge spontaneo chiedermi chi l’abbia edificata. A chi mi risponde che non l’ha creata nessuno, obietterei che nulla si erige da sé. Magari non ne scoprirò l’identità, perché ci sono costruzioni a tal punto antiche che il nome dell’autore s’è smarrito, nel tempo. Ma qualcuno, per certo, deve averla costruita.
