#repost @pattersean: "It was the days immediately after Election Day when we started shooting this video. I didn't realize the significance of it at the time but today it dawned on me. Contrary to appearances (the photo was taken at a moment of silliness,) most of us were devastated by the election results - almost numb from it. As they say, the show must go on and we pushed through. Looking back at this photo, what strikes me now is that this is actually a photo of my America. People who respect (and actually care for) each other who come from different backgrounds (and countries), religions, ethnicities and sexual orientations - and I'm feeling grateful that this is the world in which I live and work and share. And I'm feeling grateful that I'm ready to fight to preserve it. And if all of that isn't poignant enough, the name of the song we were filming the video for is "Life Goes On." (We didn't plan it, just literally worked out like that.) And one of the best lines in the song is "In the midst of all the madness, remember life is beautiful." And it is. And I'm grateful. Happy Thanksgiving! (I'm going back to silly posts after this but I thought it was worth saying.)"
