EN: I don’t want 2016 to end. It’s been a special year, both on and off the pitch. The Ballon d’Or evening. The first derby goal. The European Championship. The birth of my daughter. The injury I suffered. The smiles on the children’s faces the night we did the Telethon marathon.
My first injury was one I learned a great deal from. I learned that you can bounce back every time you fall, even stronger than before.

It is in those moments that you become better and stronger. You realise that you can overcome every obstacle you are faced with.

I’m grateful for all that 2016 has given me. Now I’m ready for 2017, stronger than ever.
