I learned a lot about myself in 2016 and even more about what I don't want in 2017. I chose to delete Facebook and Twitter because I wanted to reevaluate what I was using it for. I also noticed a majority of people only posting pictures of themselves on their Instagram’s and how great their life ALWAYS is. I wanna be more honest and responsible with these tools. I would rather share both the ups and downs of life. It’s not all roses out there I personally like to keep it real. That is probably why I love photographing people on the street. I get marketing, and those of us in the public eye should promote what we love but the people who follow us deserve a rounder version of the artist. I want to use my socials to spread something positive, creative and sometimes humorous to anybody who checks in on 2017. I am thinking of ways to evolve my own skillset here… I set up an 2nd Instagram account (only) for my photography as a creative outlet. I have also decided to mostly turn commenting off on my personals. I recently decided to monitor how much news I allow into my life because it was not educational anymore it had just become poisonous. I read what I “need” to read to be world aware and move on. I have learned my patience levels have become extremely low due to too many negative situations I’ve been in and I’ve decided to either remove people or myself from these situations when I can in 2017. I am trying my best to survive myself (my ego is not my amigo) because believing you’re a rockstar is far worse than just being one. I am knee deep in putting together a gallery show and a book of photography for 2017 as well. I am pushing myself lyrically, as a songwriter and photographer, taking bass lesson’s, finishing up another book for (2018) and now that I am finally home after almost 3 years, focusing on being a better father, husband, bandmate and friend. 2016 was an extremely painful year for me physically to tour. I needed to get my right rotator cuff repaired and possibly another surgery but chose to tour Sixx:A.M. and wait till 2017. So to wrap it up…I would like to offer more honesty in 2017…. WE ARE NOT HERE FOR A LONG TIME SO LET’S MAKE IT A GREAT TIME. ??
