Guide and Athlete Memorable Moments from 2016 - "85 miles is a long way to hike for a first descent, but that's exactly what @ckorbulic and I did last January en route to a first descent on the Northern end of the Irrawaddy River in northern Myanmar. In fact, we were hoping to paddle the river 1200 miles from source to sea, but the longest running civil war on earth coupled with vast stretches of river flowing near the world's largest illicit mineral trade turned us back several times. In the end we hiked our boats 105 miles while only paddling them about 125 miles. My knees still hurt from that mission." - Ben Stookesberry ( @redonkulous2u )
