The #EndangeredSpeciesAct was signed into law on Dec. 28, 1973 to protect and help save wildlife and the ecosystems upon which they depend.
DYK: Our scientists have helped reintroduce four species back into their native habitat: golden lion tamarin, black-footed ferret, scimitar-horned oryx, Przewalski’s horse and loggerhead shrikes.
