The number one question we are asked about shooting at #BeautifulDestinations is how we use light. The images we create and those of the creators we work with are so unique in the perspectives we capture and the way we use light and colour. It's what defines our style and is a vitally important part of our brand. All photographers know that the best natural light comes around sunrise and sunset, typically an hour before and after, but over the last few months we've been exploring shooting in suboptimal light, even pitch black by using @lumecube. They've revolutionised the way we're creating content and our partnership with them is helping us to push the boundaries of what we previously thought possible. Lume Cubes are portable, durable flash lights for smartphones, GoPros, digital cameras and drones. They're waterproof, provide up to 1500 lumens of light and are controlled by a smartphone app that can dim and brighten up to 100 cubes at once. At less than $80 for a single cube, they are a fraction of the price of traditional external flash lighting and weigh so little that we'll constantly travel with 5-10 cubes in our camera bags.
