Dear Santa Claws, I have only 3 wishes this year. They all have to do with human beings doing the right thing & finding their humanity to help us help voiceless kitties who deserve to be protected from this cruel procedure called declawing, that causes so much suffering & pain. All I want is for the "leaders" at @purina @cornellvet NJVMA to do the right thing & help us end this very inhumane & unnecessary procedure that is done to around 2 mil cats a yr in America. Profiting from any kind of animal cruelty is wrong & is especially egregious if you remain neutral & don't do anything to help end it. It is NOT a sensitive subject..IT IS WRONG. Period! 1) Purina makes millions of dollars from declawing from the sale of Yesterday's News cat litter. Please use some of the money they are making from it to help educate cat owners on why their cats need their toe bones and claws and why declawing is inhumane and harmful to all cats. Profiting from this animal cruelty is WRONG. 2) Cornell Feline Health Center- Give what's left of Rhoda Hogan's $125,500 bequest that you received in 2007 to the PawProject.org. Mrs Hogan wanted her money to be used to end declawing and to support legislation to end it. Cornell did a HUGE disservice with her money and is hiding the truth about how the $100,000 was spent. 3) NJVMA- Stop trying to kill our declawing bill in NJ. Stop your lies and deceit about declawing. Our bill in NJ to ban declawing will HELP the welfare of cats. You joined this profession because you wanted to help & heal animals & not mutilate and harm them & profit from it.
