Holy crap! This Dubai trip has been a doozy. Last night I lost my iPhone in a taxi cab. It was on airplane mode and I had no way to track it down. I was convinced I'd never see my phone again. I haven't backed up my phone since 2014 and was pretty gutted that all the memories in there were gone.
We explained our situation to our hotel and within 24 hours they were able to comb through the security camera footage, locate the taxi's license plate, contact the driver, and the driver BROUGHT IT BACK! I couldn't believe it.
I'm so grateful for everyone who helped me find it: @ashleyrachel, Max, Simon, Marielle, Adil and the security. This is truly a Christmas miracle. ?? Long story short: I lost my phone in Dubai and it was returned to me.
