Still reeling and trying to process all of the tragic world news from yesterday. This year just keeps adding to the list of loss and heartbreak. Last night we saw Moonlight and I keep thinking about this beautiful film and how clearly it captures the way moments of beauty and love exist in the world alongside moments of painfully tragic heartbreak. Unfairness and anger mingle with hope and support so poetically in Moonlight and remind me that they always do the same in real life, too. I'm working hard to keep finding these moments of beauty and to remember not to give up hope or the fight for the greater good while also mourning moments of tragedy and loss. ?
